Nine year old Raimon Made and his mother, from the Dominican Republic, arrived in July of 2006. Prior to surgery, when Raimon would play, he could only manage a low level of activity for a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes. Anything beyond this would exhaust him. Raimon received tyhe gift of life through corrective open heart surgery at Loma Linda International Heeart Institute and returned to the Dominican Republic just seven weeks post surgery. His mother tells us that he is playing sports at school and studying hard. Raimon wants to be a cardiologist when he grows up.
